The Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 release date is on the horizon, much to the excitement of players waiting for another drop of fresh content. Season 5 is expected to be one of the final seasonal updates for Modern Warfare 2, so there's a chance it contains a huge amount of content to tie players over until the launch of Modern Warfare 3.
A new battle pass is on its way to multiplayer alongside the FR Avancer assault rifle and the appearance of Nicki Minaj as a playable Operator.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 BlackCell battle pass
Along with the standard battle pass, Activision is likely to release another BlackCell bundle for Modern Warfare 2 Season 5. If you choose to splash the cash, you can get your hands on a range of unique Operator skins and weapon blueprints that allow you to stand out from the crowd on the battlefield.
The BlackCell bundle will launch as soon as the new season rolls out.

Alongside two famous rappers reportedly joining the fight, Activision has unveiled three Operators arriving in Season 5. Here's the full list of confirmed and rumoured Operators:

There are a total of five multiplayer maps appearing in Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and one of them is a classic battlefield from Call of Duty 4! Here's the full MW2 Season 5 map list:
