How to break through cracked walls in Baldur's Gate 3

When you happen across a cracked wall, you can actually right-click on it and press the "Examine" option. This will allow you to see all of the potential weaknesses the wall has. Doing this will reveal that the cracked walls have a vulnerability to bludgeoning. This basically means that you need to continually hit the wall with a melee weapon that is proficient in bludgeoning damage. Using a weapon with piercing damage or any other form will not do the trick.

If you're unfamiliar with the different types of melee weapons and their damage in Baldur's Gate 3, you don't want to use a sword or something one-handed. Instead, you want to find a strong two-handed weapon, which can be something like a warhammer, maul, or even a measly stick.

Although, one caveat that comes with breaking the cracked wall is that you need to deal at least 10 damage to it before the wall itself will take any damage. You can check the stats on your weapon of choice before attempting to break through the wall. If you have a capable weapon, then simply start smacking it against the wall and it will eventually break.

Players that don't have access to a strong melee weapon can go one of two separate ways. The first option is to use a Force spell, such as Eldritch Blast, or a Radiant element. With your spell, you can simply aim it at the wall, and after a few attacks, the wall should break.

The second option is to throw a bomb at the wall. Of course, this requires you to have a bomb in your inventory whenever you come across a cracked wall, so this option isn't as practical as the others. Still, you could simply keep a bomb in your inventory at all times when the situation calls for one. After all, they have other uses aside from breaking through walls.
